Chemical Peels

What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels cause intentional damage to the epidermis and/or dermis with the goal of stimulating new tissue to improve skin texture and tone.

Chemical peels have been used dating back to Ancient Egypt. Cleopatra used sour milk to improve the appearance of her skin, according to some sources. Lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) is the active ingredient in sour milk.

Zo Ossential Stimulator Peel

ZO Stimulator Peel is a treatment that can easily be done on your lunch hour to smooth away fine lines and wrinkles, acne, age spots, uneven tone, and texture.

This peel is known as the “Red Carpet Peel” as it is used by a number of celebrities  before they get ready for red carpet events, as there is no downtime or peeling that occurs with traditional peels.

The Stimulator Peel is designed to exfoliate the skin by increasing cell turnover, improving the overall tone, texture, and clarity of the skin. This peel is gentle enough that there  is no peeling or redness post treatment; just healthy, glowing skin.

This peel contains 3 different acids to exfoliate your skin and promote cell turnover – 10% Salicylic Acid, 10% Lactic Acid and 10% Citric Acid. These AHA or Alpha Hydroxy acids work by dissolving dead skin cells and increase moisture to the skin without being too harsh. Salicylic acid targets oily, acne prone skin, helping to keep pores clear, while the citric acid gives skin an even, healthy glow.

Noticeable results will be seen after the first treatment, however, in order to achieve maximum benefits, we recommend a serious of three peels.
